Marineland Dolphin Adventure
Responsible for working with the Animal Training team in the daily care and behavioral conditioning of bottlenose dolphins and completion of guest interaction programs. Other responsibilities can include but are not limited to diet preparation, facility/habitat maintenance, accurate record keeping, and animal observations.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the daily care and behavioral conditioning of bottlenose dolphins.Maintain a high level of professionalism while performing a supporting role in gating/husbandry/direct roles in daily guest interaction programs.Interact with guests and crew members in a positive and professional manner.Implement and maintain a comprehensive animal enrichment program for the Animal Training Department.Play a role in the development and implementation of projects and programs to enhance animal care, animal management, guest experience, and facility public relations.Participate in all guest interaction programs with all entry level animals.Possess a good knowledge of cetacean natural history, individual animal histories and husbandry.Able to identify all animals in the dolphin area and observe any possible abnormalities.Understand and perform safety skills for in-water programs.Attend all seminars and all tests required.Play a key role in maintaining the highest standards in the areas of husbandry/cleanliness, diet preparation, record keeping, animal observations, and facility maintenance.To perform other duties as workload necessitates, regardless of time, day, or location.Experience Required
Preferred:
Four-year degree in biology or related field.Certified SCUBA Diver.Florida Drivers License, or the ability to obtain one.Valid passport, or the ability to obtain one.Proficiency with Personal Computer (P.C.) hardware and contemporary software including Google Workspace.How to ApplyPlease submit cover letter and resume to
