Kessler Hospitality is a portfolio of artistically inspired boutique hotels offering unique design, luxurious accommodations, and intuitive service. The role is based at Casa Monica Resort and Spa, Autograph Collection in St. Augustine, Florida.

The Restaurant Server provides high-quality service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner, receiving and delivering orders and collecting payment.

• Employees must be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow employees.
• Know the organization of the restaurant(s), lounges, and room service and the function of each position.
• Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in applicable outlets.
• Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.
• Pre‑bus all tables, removing soiled dishes after each course.
• Be familiar with the operation of the POS system.
• Perform cashiering functions by closing checks and preparing end‑of‑shift paperwork.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and side‑work duties according to station rotation assignment and checklist.
• Ensure that tables and side‑stands are kept stocked, tidy and clean.
• Keep beverages at least three‑quarters full (coffee, tea, soda, water, lemonade).
• Breakdown trays of soiled dishes and linen in the dishroom according to standards.
• Answer the telephone according to standards.
• Consistently upsell food, beverage and promotional items to guests.
• Know the location and use of fire extinguishers.
• Receive and deliver food and beverage orders and collect payment.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field is preferred.
• Flexible and willing to work long hours when required.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to maneuver throughout the dining area while carrying full trays of food and beverages.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Must be an effective listener, understanding and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service‑oriented manner.
• Attend all required hotel meetings and trainings.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, subject to scheduling.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag.
• Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
• Maximize productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
• Handle problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving issues as necessary.
• Understand and apply complex information and data from various sources to meet objectives.
• Cross‑train in other hotel‑related areas.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Show initiative, anticipating guest or operational needs.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
• Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
