MissionReeves Construction Company is looking for an experienced Finish Dozer Operator (with GPS experience) based out of St. Augustine, Florida.
Main Responsibilities- Operate tractor equipped with concave blade to gouge, level, and distribute earth, and to push trees and rocks during road and building construction.
- Maintain basic knowledge of machine mechanics and hydraulics.
- Conduct inspection checklist on equipment (tracks, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, water).
- Keep equipment serviced, lubricated, and in good working order, and maintain good housekeeping.
- Understand slope and grade stakes information, slope ratio (4:1 or 2:1), ditch cut depths, and fill section heights.
- Operate vehicle safely in job site situations and follow company policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating GPS Dozer.
- Experience with finish/fine grade work.
- Basic tools experience and mechanical inclination.
- Valid Driver's License (preferred).
- Reliable transportation.
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
- Climb onto and off machine several times a day.
- Sit in machine and operate it for several hours without stopping.
- Withstand vibration from tracks and job site conditions and noise from equipment.
- Use arms, hands, and feet in repetitive motions.
- Perform manual duties.
- Stand and walk frequently; sit occasionally.
- Regularly lift and move up to 60 pounds.
- 20/40 vision, either naturally or with corrective lenses.
- Excellent hearing, corrected by audio device if needed.
Work environment includes moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, wet/humid conditions, and loud noise.
