Duties & Responsibilities Primary
Job Role
Repairs or replaces defective parts on machinery/equipment. Disassembles components and properly cleans parts. Inspects components to ensure maximum parts are being reused to control repair costs. Tests, diagnoses, and adjusts failures of equipment.
Creates repair estimates and submits information to substantiate quotes and estimates. Prepares all parts requisitions, time cards, or service reports, as requested by the supervisor. Ensures they are legible and accurate with sufficient detail for service accounting needs.
Monitors job expenses versus repair estimates and ensures that the lead person is aware of any cost overrun prior to the job being completed. Assumes the lead person position temporarily, as necessary.
Demonstrates utilization of dealer computer systems for work orders and other documentation.
Maintains a minimum set of tools required for job performance.
Works in a neat, orderly, and safe manner while caring for and maintaining company machines/equipment.
Maintains personal company service literature and maintains a high awareness of technical changes in the industry.
Performs other duties as assigned.

QualificationsEducation and Experience
Formal
Education:
High School diploma or GED
Experience:
1-10+
Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.
Must possess a valid Class D Driver’s License.
Not Required but Highly Desired CriteriaA specialized technical course or equivalent years experience as a Technician preferred.
Updating of KnowledgeJob requirements occasionally change requiring re-training to stay current every 3-5 years.
Working EnvironmentWork is typically performed during regular business hours with occasional requirements to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
