Job DescriptionAs an Auto Body Technician, your primary responsibility is to disassemble, repair, and reassemble each vehicle, ensuring high quality and timely completion. You will work with a range of tools – cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers – and will prepare cost estimates and plan repair work.
Key Job Responsibilities- Execute the WOW Operating Way plan consistently.
- Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
- Repair dents and minor body damage; apply filler resins as needed.
- Realign car chassis and frames to correct structural damage.
- Replace or repair damaged vehicle sections; replace or repair glass and windshields.
- Replace or repair interior parts as required.
- Weld, attach, and fit parts; repaint vehicles with factory‑specified paint or agreed‑upon equivalent.
- Attempt to complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
- Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure correct execution.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completed a technical school program or a 3‑year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
- Read job orders and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate effectively with other repairers in an auto body shop.
- Understand methods and procedures for repairing vehicle bodies.
- Proficient use of trade tools.
- Work safely in noisy environments with odors.
- Lifting up to 30 pounds at times.
- Visually inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions.
- Bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
