Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 / hour

The Water/Waste Water Technician provides effective maintenance and operation of collections systems by inspecting, servicing, maintaining, repairing, and installing air-release valves.

• Field work involving the installation, repair, and maintenance of Air Release Valves in accordance with AWWA Manual M51 Air Release, Air Vacuum and Combination Valves
• Installation and repairment of fire hydrants and water system flushing
• Independent travel to multiple worksites utilizing service trucks or equipment.
• Work within confined spaces (Trench boxes, excavations, tunnels)
• Use an Apple iPad to record data pertaining to infrastructure within partner utilities  infrastructure. Data will include taking a GPS shot of the location, attributes associated with the device, etc.
• Responsible for setup of MOT setup
• Knowledge of equipment for confined space entry (tripod, blower, harness, gas monitors, etc.).
• Assist Lead with all duties pertaining to ARV inspection, cleaning, repairs, and installation of devices.

• Mechanically inclined
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to work independently or in teams of various sizes
• Proficiency in primary hand and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Must have a valid driver’s license clear of multiple and/or major violations.
• Ability to travel locally (state-wide)
• Working knowledge of OSHA & EPA Regulations.
• High school or equivalent.
• Confined Space Certification within 1 week of hire (Training provided in Orientation Week)
• OSHA 10 within one week of Hire (Training provided in Orientation Week)
• Class A CDL license (preferred)
