Tax Manager – Public AccountingWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess 7–10 years of experience in public accounting, a valid CPA license, and extensive knowledge of federal and state tax regulations. This individual will be responsible for managing client engagements, preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, ensuring compliance, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee tax engagements for individuals and businesses.
- Prepare and review complex tax returns including 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax codes and regulations.
- Conduct tax research and prepare technical memoranda as needed.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients.
- Review and analyze financial information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with partners and department leaders on client strategies and workflow management.
- Train, mentor, and supervise staff accountants and senior accountants.
- Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality service.
- Stay current on tax law changes, industry trends, and best practices.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
- 7–10 years of experience in public accounting, with progressive tax responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of federal and multi-state tax laws and regulations.
- Advanced knowledge in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation.
- Proficient in tax software and accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership and staff development experience.
- Master’s degree in taxation or related field (preferred, not required).
- Experience working with diverse client portfolios, including high-net-worth individuals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
