• Daily Substitute Teacher Rate: $145 per day
• Loyalty Rate (after 31 days as a District 303 Daily Substitute Teacher): $165 per day
• Long Term Substitute Teacher Rate: $220 per day

St. Charles School District 303 has many opportunities to substitute in our 17 schools. We set high expectations for our students, staff and substitute support staff. If you would like to be a part of our Substitute Teaching Team, please click the apply button in the upper right.

• To work as a Substitute Teacher, you will need one of the following:
  Valid and active Illinois Professional Teaching License (PEL), Illinois Substitute Teaching License (SUB) (requires a bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education), or a Paraprofessional License and a bachelor's degree.
• To work as a Teacher Assistant, you will need a paraprofessional license from the Illinois State Board of Education and the license must be registered in Kane County. To qualify for this license, you need an Associate's Degree, 60 credit hours with an accredited college, or a passing score on an approved test. • To work as a Substitute Registered Nurse, you will need a nursing license and CPR certification.
• In addition to the online application, valid licensure, two letters of reference, and a fingerprint-based background check must be provided.
