The Retail Sales Associate assists Ollie's customers and helps maintain store appearance. Responsibilities include customer service, running registers, merchandising, and store maintenance. This position supports store setup and operations during build and opening phases, with potential transition to a permanent role after opening.
Primary Responsibilities- Greet and acknowledge every customer with Ollie's "Yes I Care, Yes I Can" approach.
- Accurately and efficiently manage cash register transactions.
- Become an Ollie's store and inventory expert; know weekly deals and value provided.
- Assist with freight logistics and learn merchandising best practices.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Happy to train new Associates who may not have 6 months of prior retail experience.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
- Positive attitude and team player who wants to delight and serve customers.
Pay ranges may differ by location. Base hourly rate or full-time salary is determined by work location, position, experience, and qualifications. Associate will not be compensated below the minimum wage for the specific location. New Hire Starting Pay: $15.25–$16.00.
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
