Location: St. Charles

Tek Pro is a technical recruiting firm that places mechanics, electricians, and engineers in the manufacturing industry. We are partnered with a modern food manufacturing plant in search of a high-skilled electrical technician that is open to working second shift hours. We currently work 4 10 hour shifts Monday - Thursday with a 3:00 pm start time!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate and repair electrical and mechanical problems on production lines.
  • Rebuild, replace, or repair major components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Inspect electrical components during and after product installation.
  • Use wiring schematics and troubleshoot electrical problems in AC and DC circuits, Motor Controls, 480 plus low voltage, etc.
  • Perform calibrations of Industrial Instrumentations and Industrial Controls.
  • Test electronics for problems and propose solutions.
  • Understand and implement designs from technical drawings.
  • Interact and direct contractors.
  • Utilize skills to bend conduit, wire pulling, etc.
  • Perform routine maintenance and preventive care.
  • Maintain accurate, updated preventive maintenance records.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements including preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of troubleshooting electronics and electrical circuits experience.
  • A working knowledge of electronics and electrical theory.
  • Possess an ability to develop, calculate and read electrical schematics.
  • Trade school or college is a plus.
  • NFPA 70e training is a plus.
  • PLC & Allen Bradley HMI experience is a plus.
  • Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, and walk during the shift.
  • Physically able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Intermediate knowledge required in the use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs.
  • Maintenance tracking software is a plus.
  • PLC Allen Bradley is a plus.
  • Efficiency Tracking software is a plus.
  • Servo Motors and drives experience a plus.
  • Vision System Experience a plus.
