We are looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting/bookkeeping operations and lead a small team. This role is responsible for managing all accounting functions including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and supervising 1-2 accounting staff members. This person will also work closely with ownership on financial management and ensure accuracy across all accounting systems.
To succeed in this role, you must be the type of person who can lead by example, create and improve processes, and maintain high standards of accuracy. You should love creating order from chaos and have impeccable attention to detail. You will be responsible for all areas of the accounting process while developing your team.
This is a full‑time (40 hour) week in person position. We have a desk waiting for you!

Job Responsibilities- Manage and supervise 1-2 accounting staff members
- Oversee all aspects of bookkeeping and accounting operations
- Work closely with the ownership team to ensure accuracy of all data in and out of accounting systems
- Review and approve bill and expense entries for accuracy
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for ownership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards, procedures, and applicable laws
- Provide financial analysis and support to management as needed
- Oversee credit card reconciliation and expense processes
- Manage inventory tracking as products come in and leave the office
- Ensure accurate data flow between Connect Wise and Quick Books
- Lead customer collections efforts including escalated accounts
- Train and develop accounting team members
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance required
- 7+ years of professional Accounting experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory role
- 3+ years of experience with Quick Books required
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Expert understanding of Accrual accounting
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Very comfortable with technology, you will be working with 7+ applications
- Experience with MSP or technology companies preferred
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal oversight
