Early Childhood Support Staff - Paraprofessional III - Early Childhood Center -

Pending BOE approval of staff member's resignation

• $17.40/hr - $29.99/hr
• Pay Grade I310
• Pay rate is determined based on years of experience

• This is a 9.5 month position, 7 hours per day - 87.50%
• Monday-Friday

• Ability to organize and prepare classroom lessons and materials
• Thorough knowledge of the methods, techniques, and procedures used in teaching
• Desire to work with and educate children
• Ability to motivate others, be creative, flexible, and patient;
• In order to work under the direct supervision of an appropriately certified teacher to provide instructional assistance, paraprofessionals are required to:

• Obtain 60 college credit hours, or
• Have passed the Para Pro Assessment (before September 23, 2013) or
• Have passed the Paraprofessional Assessment through Pearson (September 23, 2013 through June 20, 2024) or
• Have passed the Para Pro Assessment through ETS (July 1, 2024 forward) or
• Completed the 20HR Substitute Certificate Course
