Natoli Engineering Company, Inc. is located in St Charles, MO 63304. The Safety Coordinator will perform a variety of routine practical and technical work in implementing health and safety programs.

The Safety Coordinator will serve as a key member of the safety team, responsible for risk management, training, inspections, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulations.

• Responsible for risk management activities necessary to ensure the company maintains a safe work environment for employees
• Develop and present training programs for management and staff regarding applicable health and safety rules and regulations
• Perform inspections and incident investigations, conduct routine safety compliance audits, and prepare reports; present information to management
• Develop and improve programs for lock out/tag out, hazardous communication, machine guarding, and slip, trip, fall prevention
• Maintain OSHA 300 & 300A log
• Create and lead training including new employee orientation and annual refresher training
• Lead monthly safety committee meetings
• Coordinate Job Safety Analysis
• Follow good safety work practices and maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Assist supervisors and managers in emergency preparedness

• Associate’s degree related to the EHS field or equivalent experience
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Knowledge of federal and state environmental, safety and health regulations
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and work well independently or on a team
• Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes
• Ability to be flexible, work with interruptions and shift priorities as required
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

2+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment setting.

Must have the ability to sit at a desk using a computer for extended periods of time, stand, walk, kneel, and bend as required throughout the day. Involved in identifying and implementing safety requirements in a manufacturing environment.
