The Laboratory Supervisor is a skilled professional that practices the science of measurement and applies metrology principles in performing calibrations, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance (PM), and repair of biomedical and general-purpose measuring and test equipment (M&TE), including, instruments, meters, gauges, and other testing devices, in the fields of electrical, electronic, DC-Low Frequency, temperature, pressure, flow, force, mass, light, dimensional, and other Metrology disciplines.

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily laboratory operations to ensure calibration activities are performed accurately, on time, and in accordance with company standards.
  • Assign, prioritize, and monitor staff workload; provide mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Perform and oversee complex calibrations of biomedical and general-purpose M&TE across multiple disciplines (electrical, temperature, pressure, flow, dimensional, etc.).
  • Review and validate calibration results for accuracy, precision, and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Promote compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI Z540.1, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485 standards.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Management, Electronics, Engineering, Metrology, or related technical field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in calibration/metrology, with at least 2 years in a supervisory, lead, or senior technician role.
  • Strong knowledge of calibration principles, metrology practices, and uncertainty concepts.
  • Proficiency in performing and validating complex calibrations across multiple disciplines (electrical, temperature, pressure, flow, dimensional, etc.).
