Boeing, Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking motivated, talented Entry, Associate or Experienced Level Systems Engineer Technician to join our Systems Engineering team located in Saint Charles, MO .
As a part of the Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SIWS) organization, Precision Engagement Systems (PES) is a dynamic and growing team with leadership that is focused on attracting and developing top talent in support of critical missions on Direct Attack (DA). Connected to our customers’ missions, we deliver unique capability through our exceptional talent. The programs we support in Saint Charles, MO include Direct Attack weapons (JDAM, SDB, MOP, HAAWC and associated derivatives utilized on various military aircraft, some ground-based platforms, and other future contract awards.
This role provides assistance to develop, gather and document basic technical data for Weapons products to optimize effectiveness over the program lifecycle. Assists with the application of systems engineering processes, methodologies and tools. Provides assistance to derive and define architectures, functional requirements, refinements and product designs.
Position Responsibilities:
- Enables System Engineering focus on technical value, integration, problem solving and best practices.
- Manages tools and processes by conducting risk assessments in BORIS/MET and granting access control.
- Identifying areas throughout the program for LEAN improvements.
- Facilitate key meetings for customers, suppliers and executive leadership (Production PRAB, CMS RIO Board, SETR Events, etc.).
- Coordinate with other disciplines within Weapons Direct Attack programs to provide status through engineering, supplier management and contracts.
- Uses systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Teamcenter, TIPQA, QDS, QDIS, WIS, etc.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Associates Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in defense weapons technology
- Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
- Experience in various engineering disciplines
- Experience using various System Engineering tools
Typical Education/
Experience:
Level 1:
Advanced education (e.g. Associate) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Level 2:
Advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Level 3:
Advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
