Patient Access Representative - St. Charles, MO

Responsibilities
  • First impression:
    Greet patients warmly and professionally.
  • Efficient check‑in:
    Guide patients through intake with clarity and patience.
  • Last impression:
    Thank patients, leaving confidence and satisfaction.
  • Compassionate presence:
    Remain calm under pressure, empathetic, and responsive to concerns.
A Day in the Role
  • Welcome and check in 30–60 patients per day in a high‑volume, fast‑paced clinic.
  • Accurately enter patient information into the electronic medical records system.
  • Verify insurance coverage using online tools and EMR systems.
  • Clearly explain co‑pays, deductibles, and coverage in a friendly, easy‑to‑understand manner.
  • Collect co‑pays and explain visit costs with professionalism.
  • Maintain sensitive conversations with tact and professionalism.
  • Answer incoming calls and assist with patient questions or follow‑up.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Available to work 12‑hour shifts (no overnight), with alternating weekends and holidays.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑driven environment.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills, with customer service focus.
