SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The Funding Coordinator II is responsible for review of medical documentation, submission and follow-up of prior authorizations across Divisions. They are an integral part of the Funding teams and will commit to provide cross divisional support and projects. This position requires someone with advanced skills in communication effectiveness, expansive knowledge of the funding process, quick turn-around time and willingness to promote a positive culture within the DFC teams.

Essential Functions:
- Review medical documentation for accuracy/medical necessity
- Submit for prior authorization with all required documentation to appropriate funding source
- Maintain consistent follow up on status of all prior authorization requests
- Review authorizations from payer to determine approved/denied items
- Calculate estimateday on current insurance benefits
- Communicate with Supervisor in regards to issues/changes Payer
- Respond to all internal and external customers in a timely & professional manner
- Subject matter expert and lead for all team members including, but not limited to: training and onboarding new team members, acting as back-up support when team members are out, and assisting team members with answering questions.
- Acts as a leader and change agent within the team and maintains a positive attitude.
- Participate in department/company projects and initiatives
- Identifies and communicates trends to management, as well as helping to find resolutions for those trends
- Perform related duties as required.

Required Experience QUALIFICATIONS ANDCOMPETENCIES:
- High School diploma/GED required;
Associates degree preferred. - Six months medical documentation related experience or training required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.
- Able to think quickly, assess a situation and make a sound decision.
- Able to use technology to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Solid written and verbal communication, listening, organization and priority setting skills.
- Listens well and retains instructions; accepts constructive feedback from supervisor.
- A track record of being consistent with attendance and prompt arrival at work and meetings.
- Ability to perform job with integrity and values consistent with the Numotion Mission.
