The purpose of this position is to develop, manage, and maintain the content, quality, and effectiveness of all interpretive efforts including daily tours, educational programs, and special events. This individual coordinates with the Superintendent of Historic Sites, Program Coordinator, and Business Manager at Lindenwood Park to create the interpretive and educational elements associated with the daily operations of the site.

• Trains and signs off on new interpreters, both staff and volunteers.
• Works with interpreters to develop skills and programs associated with events, hands on programs, school groups, and daily tours.
• Regularly reviews and researches information to ensure program and tour presentations are current and accurate.
• Leads regular training sessions or workshops for staff or volunteers.
• Must have and maintain certification with either the Association of Missouri Interpreters or the National Association of Interpretation.
• Position has regular interaction with the public, working closely both as a front-line interpreter and trainer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
