Supplier Quality Engineer

Manage and improve supplier quality for automotive LED lighting components and assemblies. Partner with Engineering, Purchasing, and Production to ensure quality from sourcing through production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead supplier selection, qualification, development, audits, and Approved Vendor List (AVL) approvals.
• Ensure supplier compliance with quality standards, APQP, and industry requirements.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), define supplier quality requirements, and coordinate PPAP submissions.
• Analyze and report supplier performance, drive process improvements, and implement risk mitigation and preventive actions.
• Maintain supplier quality standards, documentation, improvement plans, and training.
• Support RFQs, technical reviews, and component quality evaluations.
• Help Production and Receiving Inspection resolve supplier issues and prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or In
• At least 3 years of supplier quality, quality engineering, or manufacturing engineering experience in automotive production.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, DFMEA, and supplier auditing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead audits and drive quality improvements.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, and hands‑on.
• Ability to travel internationally 4–6 times annually.
• LED lighting or electronics manufacturing experience and automotive enthusiasm preferred.
