Position Summary

Shift Leaders are responsible for leading the restaurant during assigned shifts to ensure operational excellence, guest satisfaction, team development, and alignment with our mission, vision, and core values. They create a positive, high-performance environment while upholding Chick-fil-A standards of speed, accuracy, safety, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Culture
  • Lead the team with positivity, clarity, and urgency.

  • Build trust, morale, and team engagement during every shift.
  • Coach in real time—encourage great performance and correct poor habits quickly and respectfully.

Operations Excellence
  • Execute daily operations with excellence during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure accurate order execution and high food quality.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments.
  • Manage shift flow, positioning, and deployment.
  • Monitor drive-thru efficiency, speed of service, and throughput performance.
  • Oversee cash handling and basic administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Support inventory usage and waste reduction expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with all Chick-fil-A systems and food safety procedures.
Guest Experience
  • Create a welcoming, caring, service‑first environment.
  • Ensure hospitality standards are consistently demonstrated.
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and graciously.
  • Lead the team in anticipating needs and delivering “Unreasonable Hospitality” moments.
People Development
  • Mentor team members and help them grow.
  • Provide constructive feedback and recognition.
  • Support training of new team members and trainers.
  • Promote a culture where everyone feels valued and supported.
Qualifications
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communicator and problem solver.
  • Calm under pressure and excellent decision‑maker.
  • Reliable, punctual, and highly responsible.
  • Ability to lead by example and inspire others.
  • Commitment to excellence and guest care.
  • Minimum age requirement per store policy and applicable laws.

  • Maintains professionalism at all times.
  • Flexible availability (nights, weekends, holidays as needed).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to restaurant operations.
  • Completion of required leadership training.
