About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled and dependable Boiler Technician to join our Facilities Department. This role is critical to maintaining safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of our building systems. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and a commitment to high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, maintain, and repair boilers, steam systems, and related mechanical equipment
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system diagnostics
- Monitor boiler performance, water levels, chemical treatment, and safety controls
- Troubleshoot issues and respond promptly to equipment alarms or failures
- Maintain accurate logs, documentation, and compliance records
- Support facility operations by assisting with HVAC, pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems as needed
- Follow all safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company standards
- Collaborate with engineering staff, vendors, and leadership to ensure operational continuity
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Boiler Operator License (Class I, II, or as required by jurisdiction)
- 3+ years of experience in boiler operation, mechanical systems, or industrial maintenance preferred
- Strong understanding of steam systems, combustion controls, and water treatment
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and equipment diagrams
- Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions under pressure
- Basic computer skills for logging, reporting, and work order systems
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in mechanical spaces, including hot or confined areas
- Experience in large commercial, industrial, or hospitality environments
- Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS/BMS)
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
