Recreation Assistant – Lake St. Charles Independent Living and Assisted Living Community

Lake St. Charles is an award‑winning Independent Living and Assisted Living Community located in Saint Charles, MO. We sit on 13 private acres and have over 175 apartments. The community is looking for an Activity Assistant to join our fun team and assist in providing therapeutic programs that meet each resident’s individual needs while creating an atmosphere of FUN and ENJOYMENT.

• Developing and implementing a well‑rounded wellness program for Long Term Care, Memory Care, or Rehab patients as assigned (including weekend and holiday hours).
• Timely completion of assessments, care plans, and associated paperwork.
• Ensuring that all local, state, and federal guidelines regarding programming are met.
• Bringing the “fun” to resident activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Strong communication and time management.
• Team player who works with other departments to build staff morale.
• Basic typing and computer skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Publisher for producing monthly calendars, newsletters, and marketing material.
• Must be self‑motivated, creative with a positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm.
• Must be able to work with family members, partners, and the community.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred L1MA Certification and CDL.
