Position IntroductionCimarron is seeking real-time Software Engineers to support an advanced aerospace development effort for the Phantom Works program in St. Charles, MO. This innovative program focuses on next-generation technologies for defense and flight systems. In this role, you will play a key role in the design and development of Vehicle Management System (VMS) software that provides flight and subsystem control for a cutting-edge platform.
KeyDuties
- Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.
- Develop and maintain code, integrating software components into a fully functional software system.
- Create and execute test plans and procedures to verify that software meets all system requirements.
- Lead and mentor other team members on software engineering principles, design reviews, and process improvements.
- Support the generation and maintenance of software processes, tools, and metrics.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for real-time software design, safety-critical systems, and software certification processes.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative, high-quality software solutions.
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance in a reasonable timeframe.
- 15 or more years of related experience.
- 5 or more years of experience with C/C++.
- 5 or more years of experience designing and developing software for both real-time and non-real-time systems.
- 5 or more years of experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- 3 or more years of safety-critical software development experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 7 or more years of related work experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience with LOR-1, LOR-2 or DAL-A, DAL-B.
- Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-516C, MIL-STD-882E, and JSSSEH, DO-178C.
- Experience developing embedded real-time software.
- Experience with Python, C#, and/or Assembly Language.
- Experience with Green Hills Integrity or other Real-Time Operating Systems.
- Experience with fault tolerance, signal processing, or control system design.
- Experience with tools, such as Jira, Clear Case, and Git.
- Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science.
