Afternoon Latchkey

Position: Afternoon Latchkey Staff

Job Summary:

We are looking for an After school Latchkey staff member to supervise and engage with children from Preschool - 8th grade. The Latchkey staff will ensure the safety and well-being of all the children in their care. We provide a safe, fun and age-appropriate environment for all our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage with children after school hours
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and games
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols
• Greet parents at pick-up; maintain accurate attendance records
• Work effectively both as a team member and an individual
• Clean tables & prepare room for the following day

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 or over
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience working with children
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents & students
• Maintain professional and positive attitude

Requirements:

• Must be certified in Infant/Child and Adult CPR and First Aid (school will provide training)
• Complete 16 hours (annually) of Professional Development in Early Childhood or School-Aged topics.

Before starting you must complete the following:

• Fingerprinted & IChat Background check through the school
• Protecting God's Children Workshop
• MI Registry Health & Safety Training (online)
