R&D/ Innovation Specialist

A client-facing technical innovation specialist who oversees testing and validation of materials, manages the R&D lab queue for client programs, and ensures production readiness of new applications. Materials-specific lab work, lab-to-production transfer, and client engagement.

Lead testing and validation of new embellishment methods, materials, and product innovations. Connect laboratory innovation with field production, ensuring data-driven quality, scalability, and client satisfaction.

• Oversee structured testing for all materials (wash, adhesion, abrasion, stretch, etc.).
• Manage R&D lab queue, prioritization, and documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process or product innovation to enhance enterprise programs.
• Collaborate with Technical Operations on implementation of approved innovations.
• Generate technical reports, performance data sheets, and sample evaluations.
• Present innovation progress and findings to internal and client stakeholders.
• Maintain records of test results, SOPs, and technical standards.

• 5+ years in materials science, product development, or R&D in textiles or apparel.
• Knowledge of coatings, adhesives, and transfer systems.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Experience in lab-to-production transfer preferred.
