Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

At Lumen Pediatric Therapy LLC we provide play-based, child-led, compassionate care where kids can SHINE. We are dedicated to enriching the lives of children with autism and provide comprehensive evidence-based services to help individuals maximize their potential. Our centers offer a multi-disciplinary environment, working with teams in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology where you can continue to learn and grow.

We are looking for an additional Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. The primary responsibility is evaluating children, planning treatment programs and providing speech therapy interventions to maximize the value, potential, and satisfaction of our clients.

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose communication and feeding disorders
• Develop individualized treatment plans and goals for each client based on their unique needs and abilities
• Create goals and objectives for patients to work toward and identify areas of progress and challenges
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions based on the client s individual treatment plan
• Counsel, educate and advise clients and their families regarding communicative, cognitive and swallowing functioning, and develop home programs as needed
• Maintain clinical documentation and progress notes and submit all required paperwork in a timely manner according to Lumen Pediatric Therapy s policy
• Complete re-evaluations yearly to document progress and continued eligibility
• Collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of clients, parents, and staff
• Maintain strict client confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines
• Provide a safe and supportive environment for client and family
• Attend clinic or payor required ongoing trainings to advance clinical practice and professional development
• Assist with additional clinical and/or administrative duties as delegated

• Available to work at both St. Clair Shores and Auburn Hills locations

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Current license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Michigan
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to achieve certification
• Ability to provide negative TB test results
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills

• Lumen Pediatric Therapy is a center-based clinical model which supports skill generalization across additional environments (home, school, or community) as specified by treatment plan and pre-approved by family, Supervising Clinician, and Lumen Pediatric Therapy
