Shift: PRN. Days and hours per week will vary depending on needs of the department.

Location:

21000 E 12 Mile Rd, St. Clair Shores, MI 48081.

Provides mammography imaging services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operate equipment and perform various mammography related procedures.
• Prepare and position patients, select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Explain procedures and educate patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
• Develop and evaluate the film for technical quality such as density, contrast, definition, and distortion.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, including correct lead markers and patient data/history.
• Ensure equipment is properly functioning; report potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in the department.

Education/Experience

Required:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job‑specific experience.
• ARRT registered or board eligible in Mammography. 3-5 years of experience preferred; proficient in screening and diagnostic examinations. Breast procedures and ABUS examinations will be a requirement, willingness to train.

Certifications/Licensures

Required:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
• One or more of the following required:
  - Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
  - Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
