Pediatric Occupational Therapist; OT

Be among the first 25 applicants. Lumen Pediatric Therapy LLC is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide pediatric therapy in a center-based setting, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver evidence-based services for children with autism.

• Perform Occupational Therapy assessments and develop and implement treatment plans to improve or restore independence and physical/cognitive functioning.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions based on the client’s individual treatment plan.
• Guide and instruct family members on therapeutic, creative, and self-care procedures/activities; explain adaptive, progressive approaches and compensatory strategies.
• Conduct functional, cognitive, and sensory re-evaluations as needed to revise the treatment plan.
• Consult with other members of the child’s care team on equipment, techniques, modalities, and basic activity programs when needed.
• Maintain clinical documentation and progress notes; submit required paperwork in a timely manner according to policy.
• Complete re-evaluations yearly to document progress and continued eligibility.
• Collaborate with other therapists, providers, administrators, and school staff for effective programs and follow prescribed routines and schedules.
• Maintain client confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
• Provide a safe and supportive environment for client and family.
• Attend clinic or payer required trainings to advance clinical practice and professional development.
• Assist with additional clinical and/or administrative duties as delegated.

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with at least 1-2 years of experience providing direct therapy to pediatric clients, including assessments and intervention planning, and working on collaborative teams.
• Experience with children diagnosed with ASD preferred
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift, squat, bend, push/pull 50 pounds as needed for therapy services

• Lumen Pediatric Therapy is a center-based clinical model supporting skill generalization across environments (e.g., home, school, or community) as specified by the treatment plan and pre-approved by family & Lumen Pediatric Therapy
• Work hours are based on the client treatment plan and clinic hours; in the event of session cancellation, hours may be made up with the family based on payor guidelines
• Noise level is usually moderate
