$17.50/hr – $21.00/hr

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist with other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach pharmacy technicians in operating pharmacy systems and cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer‑service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Build strong relationships with valuable customers.
• Assist pharmacist with scheduling and maintaining workflow, reviewing and complying with the Walgreens Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Perform duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately to supervising pharmacist and adhere to company policies and the Quality Improvement Program.
• Adhere strictly to Walgreens policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities.
• Register all related sales on the assigned cash register, collect and handle cash as required, and assist customers to the OTC aisle when possible.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention, including physician calls.
• Process, correct, and resubmit manual claims for third‑party prescription services in a timely and efficient manner.
• Support Pharmacy Department inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
• Assist pharmacist with administering clinical services such as collecting and labeling blood/urine samples as needed.
• Assist Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in developing relationships with local medical community for outreach and growth opportunities.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance of the Pharmacy Department to keep it stocked, clean, neat, and orderly.
• Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers and comply with all company policies.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program.
• Attend training and complete required PPLs, and acquire continuing education credits.
• Maintain knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest news and developments.

• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking in English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling (counting, measuring, weighing).
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
