HVAC Service Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled, experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in HVAC/R systems. Must be able to work on a boiler. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The HVAC Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal performance of HVAC systems in residential and commercial properties.

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems according to specifications and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with heating and cooling systems using schematics and technical manuals.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficiency and longevity.
• Weld components as necessary for repairs or installations.
• Design and implement system upgrades or modifications as needed to improve performance, including estimating new equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory management.

• Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems and components.
• Experience as a service technician with a focus on HVAC/R applications.
• Must know how to work on boilers.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
• Ability to weld metal parts for system repairs or installations.
• Familiarity with all trade principles as they relate to HVAC systems.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
