Overview
Your Role at Dollar Tree:
As a Customer Service Associate II, you’ll be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of your assigned store, from merchandising to supporting customers. You will be fully cross-trained to support the cash register and able to switch to front-end duties as needed. You will focus on providing a clean, welcoming environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
- Receive merchandise, unload trucks, and process freight in a safe manner in accordance with productivity standards
- Merchandise and stock as needed
- Assist with cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
- Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team members
- Process sales transactions while working the assigned cash register
- Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents
- Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- High level of integrity
- Proficiency in basic math for cash accounting
