Youth & Family Program Attendant

About the Role

Do you enjoy working with kids and creating fun, active experiences? We’re looking for an energetic and responsible Youth & Family Program Attendant to lead and support youth activities and homeschool programs in a safe, welcoming environment. In this role you’ll organize and lead recreational activities, supervise the climbing room, and help ensure all equipment is properly maintained. Most importantly, you’ll foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels encouraged, supported, and ready to have fun.

• Organize, lead and assist recreational activities that promote teamwork, coordination and healthy lifestyles for youth program participants.
• Ensure the safety and well‑being of participants during recreational activities by closely monitoring their actions and behaviors.
• Set up, maintain and ensure the proper use of equipment, ensuring it’s clean, safe and in good working order.
• Foster a supportive and engaging atmosphere that encourages participation from all children, ensuring that all participants feel welcomed and valued regardless of skill level.
• Address any behavioral issues in a professional and positive manner, using conflict resolution skills to maintain a respectful and safe environment.
• Communicate with guardians to provide updates on their child’s participation and progress in activities as needed.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.
• One year experience working with children in a recreational or educational setting, preferably in a gym or physical activity environment.
• Belay certification required, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work with children.
• Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate children to develop their skill, improve performance and foster a positive team atmosphere.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
