Construction Inspector

Overview

WSB & Associates, Inc. dba WSB is seeking construction inspectors to join our team in St. Cloud, MN. The position can be full time or seasonal based on experience and workload. Located in St. Cloud, MN.

• Perform field observation/inspection.
• Material sampling and testing.
• Verify compliance with the plans and specifications.
• Prepare pay estimates and produce project documentation for private, municipal, county, MnDOT, NDDOT, and federal projects.
• Documentation will include daily diaries, quantity calculations and backup documentation, letters, memos, and spreadsheets.
• Assist with surveying, proposals, project budgets and schedules; may be involved in design‑build, pavement management, or other technical activities.
• Willingness to travel and perform assigned duties outside of the immediate Fargo area.

• Municipal, heavy civil roadway and bridge construction inspection experience; open to those who want to be challenged and grow.
• 1+ years of construction inspection or related experience required (5+ years preferred).
• Excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Material testing experience and MnDOT technical certifications preferred. If applying, provide a copy of your current DOT certification card.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
• A two-year technical degree or a related four-year degree is a plus and can enhance opportunities.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

You must be comfortable working in all weather conditions. You may be required to lift 50–75 lbs. and work with your hands, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. You may work on uneven terrain, slopes, in confined spaces, or reinforced trenches.
