SALARY:$19/hr
QUALIFICATIONS: Required- High School or GED Diploma
- Proficiency in the English language is required, in accordance with Minnesota state statute.
- Similar job related experience
- Bilingual Spanish or Somali
- Targeted Classroom Support (Not 1:1 Shadowing):
These para educators will support each classroom with academic and social/emotional needs under the direction of the Kindergarten teacher. - Dedicated Family Engagement & Student Support: A portion of their daily schedule is specifically set aside to foster family partnerships and provide wraparound support. This includes supporting our Read With Me, Math With Me home initiative, hosting "Parent and Child Together" events, facilitating multilingual outreach (English, Spanish, Somali), and collaborating with our FSCS Coordinator to monitor attendance and connect families with essential community resources.
- The ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time; may be exposed to adverse weather
- Frequent: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, and seeing
- Light Work: exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
