We are seeking a qualified and passionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our network of education professionals for a full-time, school-based assignment. In this role, you’ll provide therapy services and support to students with a variety of communication challenges, contributing to their academic and social success. You’ll work as part of a collaborative special education team, with access to resources, mentorship (for CFs), and manageable caseloads.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in compliance with IDEA and state standards.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Provide direct therapy and consultative services to students with speech and language impairments.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs to ensure legal and ethical compliance.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other related service providers to support student goals.
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development activities.
- Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic strategies and technologies, including AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
- Support inclusive practices and adapt interventions to support diverse student populations.
- Provide training or guidance to classroom staff, if applicable, to generalize communication strategies.
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech Language Pathologist
- State Teaching Credential (or ability to obtain)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Experience working in a public school setting or with IEPs
- Familiarity with Medicaid billing practices and compliance
- Cultural competency in working with diverse student populations
- Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply — CF supervision available!
