Brief Description

We are currently looking to add a Lab Technician to our Verification & Analysis team in St. Cloud, MN. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Microbiologics’ scientific work by performing routine tasks and supporting daily operations in the lab.

What can I expect in this role?

In this position, you will work 7:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday thru Thursday, and 7:00 am – 1:00 am on Friday.

Some key duties in this role include:
  • Assist with analyzing PS lot counts and communicating with Production Control Department
  • Submit samples to QC for testing following internal count analysis.
  • Evaluate and perform product testing to qualify live enumerated material.
  • Perform confirmation testing when contamination is suspected as needed.
  • Perform basic molecular biology techniques including nucleic acid extraction and nucleic acid measurement by flow cytometry and PCR.
  • Responsible for in-process testing associated with manufacturing.
  • Performs inactivated stock enumeration using qPCR, ddPCR and CytoFLEX platforms, and provides results in a timely manner to Production Control Department
  • Compiles data for analysis of enumerations according to defined work instruction, analysis forms, and software, and keeps up with any updates to such platforms.
  • Responsible for general maintenance of equipment.
  • Perform basic assaying of microorganisms made.

Education and/or experience required:
  • Four-year biology/related degree required or equivalent experience. Microbiology coursework preferred.
  • The ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
