Required Qualifications
  • At least 1 year recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
  • Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
  • ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
  • Valid radiologic technologist license within state regulations
  • PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification
  • Other certifications or licenses as required
Essential Work Functions
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures ensuring comfort and safety
  • Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures
  • Assist physicians as a scrub tech, maintain sterile field, pass instruments
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details
  • Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
  • Implement radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self
  • Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment and procedural supplies
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and team members for patient care
  • Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols
  • Educate patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations
Required Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills
  • Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment 50–100 lbs, push, pull, bend
  • Work effectively with diverse personnel; maintain positive attitude
  • Fine‑motor skills for manipulating equipment during procedures
  • Ability to handle high‑pressure, irregular activity schedules
  • Visual acuity and effective communication
