Health Unit Coordinator

Find your purpose at Centra Care as a Health Unit Coordinator team member in the Center for Surgical Care.

As a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC), you serve a vital role in being the communication link for the unit. Responsibilities will include greeting and assisting patients/families, guests, and providers as well as managing telephone communications, organizing and maintaining patient charts, and performing clerical and receptionist duties to support patient care.

Schedule

• Part-time | 32-48 hours every two weeks | 8-hour shifts between 5am - 5:30pm | Monday-Friday

Pay and Benefits

• Starting pay begins at $18.28 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience
• Pay range: $17.00 - $25.54 per hour

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience/knowledge required.
• National Health Unit Coordinator certification preferred.
• Previous experience utilizing an EMR (electronic medical record) preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience with office procedures and equipment with computer experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required. Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Orientation and training will be given to obtain the desired entry level competence, in lieu of experience.
