Shop Foreman - 2nd Shift - Health Insurance

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced 2nd Shift Shop Foreman to lead and oversee daily operations within our shop environment. This pivotal role involves supervising shop activities, managing projects, and ensuring that all work complies with safety standards, quality benchmarks, and project specifications. • Directly supervise and assign work to technicians to improve the quality and productivity of the shop.
• Assist the service manager in training employees and resolving customer complaints.
• Work with the service advisor to assign work to qualified technicians and ensure repair orders and procedures are completed within estimated time.
• Maintain dealership‑prescribed standards for “hours per customer repair order written.”
• Maintain timely and professional communication with customers, informing them of any changes to time required or additional repairs.
• Ensure repair orders and procedures are properly documented and work with technicians on explanation sheets for accuracy and detail.
• Write accurate estimates of repair costs, control unapplied time and overtime, and coordinate parts needed for shop repairs.
• Keep up‑to‑date knowledge of warranties and ensure warranty terms and procedures are followed.
• Administer safety and housekeeping policies and procedures.
• Perform spot checks of quality inspections to assure quality and timely inspections.
• Communicate carefully and completely with the next shift supervisor by an agreed‑upon method.
• Keep abreast of current changes in technology using company/dealership training, video library, and written materials.
• Make suggestions and share ideas with the service manager to move the company forward and grow the department.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED; a two‑year technical degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience is preferred.
• At least one year of supervisory experience with ability to motivate technicians.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service, organization, and time‑management skills.
• Basic computer knowledge; dealership computer system training will be provided.
