Responsibilities

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Nurse looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of adolescents and young adults? Newport Healthcare is seeking an enthusiastic RN or LPN to provide on‑site nursing and care in our supportive and nurturing facilities.

What You’ll Do
  • Administer medications and monitor vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.
  • Evaluate medical complaints and concerns from residents, effectively communicating with our Nurse Practitioners and Physicians.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, providing direct care and nursing services as prescribed.
  • Monitor chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures, ensuring timely interventions.
  • Maintain comprehensive medical records and logs, adhering to all mandated reporting and infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with Care Coordinators regarding medication management and refills.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, contributing your expertise to enhance patient care.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Nursing Degree.
  • Licensure:
    Current RN licensure with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing is a must.
  • Experience:

    Ideally, previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with adolescents and/or young adults.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to make sound judgment calls in high‑pressure scenarios.
  • Team Player: A positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Tech‑Savvy:
    Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Crisis Management:
    Ability to react quickly and calmly as part of a team in emergent situations.
  • Quality Focus: A proactive mindset that seeks to improve quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.

Pay Range

$37,000 to $53,000, depending on education and experience.
