Microbiologics is seeking a Manufacturing Science Associate to join our R&D team in St. Cloud, MN. This role supports the development, validation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes across the product lifecycle. This position bridges research and manufacturing, transforming innovative product designs into scalable, compliant, and high‑quality processes. The ideal candidate brings strong molecular biology expertise, particularly PCR, and enjoys applying hands‑on science to solve real manufacturing challenges.
Whatcan I expect in this role?
This is an onsite position in St. Cloud, MN, working Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
Key responsibilities- Support the transfer of new products into repeatable, scalable manufacturing processes.
- Plan, execute, and document process validations and R&D activities using data‑driven approaches.
- Perform biomaterial testing and molecular laboratory work with an emphasis on PCR and ddPCR.
- Analyze and interpret data to drive process optimization and product performance.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, training materials, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to support new, transferred, and customer‑specific products.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety practices, and regulatory standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on microbiology or molecular laboratory experience.
- Technical understanding and hands‑on experience with molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR) required.
- Experience in manufacturing, process development, or a regulated industry (biotech, pharma, medical device).
- Strong technical writing, organization, and documentation skills.
- Analytical, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast‑paced R&D environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
