Kitchen Helper

St. Cloud Area School District 742 is hiring a Kitchen Helper to assist with daily kitchen operations including food preparation, serving breakfast and lunch, dishwashing, cashiering, and cleaning. This role supports students and staff by ensuring timely and nutritious service.

SCHEDULE
:
Hourly: 4.75 hrs/day. Hours may vary based on program needs.

SALARY
: $16.49 - $17.38/hr (subject to negotiated agreement and work experience).

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of work-related experience.
• Preferred: bilingual.
• Basic cashiering skills.
• Knowledge of customer service principles.

• Preparation of food as directed by head cooks.
• Set up serving lines.
• Serve food to students and staff.
• Keep service area and food dispensers cleaned and stocked.
• Count/record the quantity of food sold on daily and weekly sheets.
• Make short order food as needed (ice cream, malts, pop).
• Compile food and supply orders.
• Receive money for cash sales in ala-cart line.
• Assist with cleaning the kitchen, cooking equipment and entire serving area, including washing dishes with power washer.
• Other duties as assigned.

Frequent: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, seeing, and repetitive motions. Light work: lifting up to 25 pounds and/or exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
