Role summary

Member Frontline Cashier Associates are the heart of the front end. You may be the first, last, and sometimes only associate our members interact with. It’s important to smile, greet, and thank each member. We are looking for friendly faces to run registers and support our members through the self-checkout experience. The pace can be fast, especially in the evenings, on weekends, and during holiday seasons.

You may juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members: scanning items, processing payments, and maintaining a clean area. It’s hard work, but cashiers find it rewarding as part of a large team with a common goal: happy, satisfied members.

What you’ll do
  • Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering questions.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area; assist with payments and transactions at registers or self-checkout.
What you’ll need to do the job

The following responsibilities describe the expected work, not an exhaustive list:

  • Safety: conduct safety sweeps and follow forklift spotting procedures; handle and dispose of hazardous materials per company guidelines; report unsafe situations.
  • Member service: acknowledge members, identify needs, assist with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, resolve issues, promote products and services, support self-service technology, and process purchases.
  • Operations: adhere to company policies and ethics, collaborate with managers and teammates, set priorities and deadlines, and adapt to change and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in specific circumstances (e.g., schedule, facility, season). Premiums may apply if criteria are met.
