Store Manager – Men's Wearhouse

Reports to Regional Manager.

Overview

As a Store Manager you lead a store team to achieve sales, customer service, and operational expectations. You are responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and developing a high performing team that delivers an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Inspire and coach the store team to achieve their best performance.
  • Execute initiatives to maximize store growth and potential.
  • Create an engaged, inclusive, and high performing store environment.
  • Elevate the customer experience through operational excellence.
  • Exceed customer expectations in all interactions.
  • Lead store staff in meeting sales, service, and operational expectations.
  • Set clear performance expectations and ensure staff is trained in sales, service, and operations.
  • Model company values and lead by example as an active coach.
  • Communicate priorities and sales driving information effectively to equip staff to maximize business opportunities.
  • Guide team to identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity.
  • Recruit for store, embrace diversity, and create an inclusive store environment.
  • Achieve store business plans, including sales, customer service, and operational goals.
  • Develop game plans and follow up on execution to maximize sales and drive consistent performance results.
  • Partner and present opportunities with fact-based information and recommendations while leveraging data to make decisions.
  • Participate in business outreach opportunities and communicate leads to Multi-Unit Manager and Business Outreach team.
  • Identify performance opportunities and partner with Regional Manager to develop a plan to address issues effectively.
  • Ensure store schedule accuracy to staff effectively execute initiatives and maintain proper sales coverage.
  • Train staff on all internal operational functions.
  • Implement store programs to increase efficiencies in sales, service, operations, and branding.
  • Maintain knowledge of corporate communications, directives, initiatives, policies, and procedures.
  • Create a steady pipeline of external talent through recruitment.
  • Hold regular store meetings ensuring all team members are up to date on company directives.
  • Ensure the store meets visual brand standards and marketing initiatives are executed per company direction.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience leading, managing, and developing retail teams.
  • Creative individual who demonstrates good judgement and is tuned into the pulse of the business.
  • Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, strategic thinker.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated active listening and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proven ability to train and develop high‑performing store teams.
  • Proficient in technology systems, Microsoft Office, and video conferencing.
  • Ability to operate a computer and POS system.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the work shift, frequently bend, squat, and twist, lift up to 50 lbs., climb a ladder, and see and distinguish between fabric patterns and colors.

Compensation

Pay Range: $43,173 – $62,940.
