Responsibilities- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on Heavy Duty tractors, trailers, in accordance with DOT compliance and company standards to include: engines, transmissions, brake systems, drive-line components, trailer floor, door and suspensions and trailer refrigeration systems.
- Learn and perform the proper use of diagnostic electronics to troubleshoot breakdowns and fault alarms
- Learn and perform welding of steel, aluminum and stainless steel
- Learn and perform light and medium duty fleet repairs and maintenance to include engine, transmission, brakes and cargo areas
- Learn and perform powered industrial equipment and Material Handling equipment repairs and maintenance
- Complete assigned projects in a timely manner
- Complete work orders on all tractors and trailers, including paperwork for governmental and company purposes
