Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Body Shop Lead on the 2nd shift. This leadership role oversees daily operations, guides technicians, and ensures high-quality auto body repairs. Momentum Truck Group offers employer-paid health insurance and opportunities for professional growth.
The anticipated hourly pay range is $35.00/hr - $40.00/hr pay is based on skills and experience; discuss with your recruiter to learn more.
Duties- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the body shop department.
- Perform high-quality body repairs, painting, and refinishing on diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
- Inspect work to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Train and mentor body shop technicians, ensuring skill development and adherence to best practices.
- Manage workflow to meet project deadlines and customer expectations.
- Work with the shop manager and service advisors to schedule repairs and prioritize tasks.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Assist with estimates for bodywork and provide recommendations for repair solutions.
- Communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction with completed work.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in auto body repair, with a focus on diesel trucks or heavy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of body repair techniques, welding, and painting processes.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret repair orders, estimates, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience with industry-standard tools and equipment, including spray guns, sanders, and welding machines.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
