Summary
The Freight Match Representative (FMR) will be monitoring loads covered within the Freight Match app and tracking movement of freight to insure excellent customer service. The FMR will be able to negotiate skillfully, handle in-transit changes and function as main point of contact for users and drivers. Other responsibilities will include working with developers to help test new features and relay user feedback to management to continuously improve the user experience.
HoursThis is an in office position with the following hours:
Monday - Friday 7am-4pm.
- Higher education (i.e. two or four year degree) preferred but not required.
- Good understanding of marketing, sales and customer service.
- Have a base of knowledge around how mobile apps work from the users perspective.
- Self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
- Ability to negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups; can win concessions without damaging relationships; gains trust quickly.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in order to implement logical conclusions and make well informed quick decisions.
- Must be action oriented and have perseverance to finish projects/work, especially in the face of resistance or set-backs.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and drive for results.
- Creativity to come up with value-added ideas in meetings or for ongoing Continuous Improvement efforts.
- Must have general knowledge of U.S. geography and basic map-reading skills.
- Must have a drive for results and can persevere in the face of resistance or setbacks in a fast paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
- Excellent communication skills (written, listening and verbal).
- Willing and able to travel infrequently, including overnight travel.
- Monitor covered loads via the on-line app ATS Freight Match insuring tracking is initiated and accepted by drivers.
- Monitors loads from pick-up to delivery, communicating with drivers, shippers, and consignees regarding any pertinent issues.
- Communicate any change in load schedules and status updates through delivery to Sales and/or Agents.
- Handle in-transit negations as needed. Examples could include Detention and Truck Ordered Not Used.
- Respond to the on-line app reviews with the assistance of Marketing.
- Function as the main point of contact for drivers with technical issues and work with I.T. to resolve and communicate solutions to drivers.
- Assist the Freight Match Manager with testing new features in the app.
- Work with settlements team to handle inbound driver payment questions.
- Function consistently, effectively and reliably in accordance with the Company's values as set forth in our core competencies and behaviors to foster ATS's culture (All Employee Competencies).
- Complete work responsibilities outside of normal business hours as needed and infrequent travel may be required.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
