Automation Technician

Wixon has an immediate opening for a Senior Maintenance Technician.

This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated production equipment, including robotic systems, packaging machinery, and integrated control systems.

• Perform preventive maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
• Program and maintain PLC systems and HMI interfaces
• Troubleshoot and repair robotic systems and end-of-arm tooling
• Maintain and calibrate sensors, motors, and control systems
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance
• Assist in training personnel to operate, maintain, and the setup of production machinery and equipment
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate repair records (CMMS)
• Respond to emergency breakdown situations

• Associate’s degree or a journeyman status in Electronic Technology – Automation, Electromechanical Maintenance Technology, Industrial Machine Repair, or related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMI systems, and industrial controls
• Experience with robotic systems and programming
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
