Medical Assistant Dermatology

Overview

Vivida Dermatology is a leader in patient-focused dermatological care, providing innovative treatments and a compassionate approach to all patients. We are currently seeking an upbeat, dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in St George, UT.

The Medical Assistant will be an essential part of our healthcare team, reflecting our core values of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of excellent and compassionate patient care and outcomes.

• Facilitate efficient patient flow to ensure a comfortable and convenient experience for each patient.
• Assist healthcare providers during exams and procedures to enhance efficiency.
• Proactively anticipate the needs of providers and patients.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of training.
• Manage patient rooming, medical history updates, and medication refills/documentation.
• Serve as a scribe during dermatology clinic visits.
• Handle patient check-in processes, including entering demographic data and diagnoses into the EMR system.
• Monitor patient wait times, communicate delays, and coordinate with the team to minimize inconvenience.
• Prepare for and assist with medical procedures, including obtaining written consent.
• Take high-quality digital photographs for pre- and post-procedure documentation.
• Remove sutures and monitor surgical wounds for any signs of complications.
• Provide post-care instructions to patients.

• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of Medical Assisting experience.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems and medical software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
