Minimum qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in data center operations or other relevant operational experience in non‑DC industries (e.g., power generation, HVAC and refrigeration, industrial manufacturing, military, oil and gas, maritime/marine, chemical cluster, etc.).
- 5 years of experience managing technical teams and vendors in charge of operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and controls infrastructure and components.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in collaborating with other business units to meet company goals and standards.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in a data center environment.
- Excellent people management and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate at all levels.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $129,000–$189,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary is determined by role, level, and location.
Responsibilities- Lead compliance activities for a data center and analyze compliance results for data centers globally, ensuring regional and global teams meet project/schedule guidelines and Google design standards.
- Drive monitoring of data center system operations, control site activities to minimize risk, and ensure effective response to any excursions.
- Ensure sites follow facility, maintenance, and standard programs globally while improving policies and programs.
- Develop strategies to keep operational costs to a minimum, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact at a site, including site‑level programs and initiatives.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise and make recommendations for data center design improvements to optimize equipment and operations for next‑generation data centers.
